Word class displays and one page sheets

These word class displays and one-page sheets can be used to clarify children's word class understanding. They are separated into the individual year group expectations. All the displays include proper nouns. Although this is not a word class on its own, it is a crucial part of the understanding of nouns and the use of a capital letter for these words.

In both the displays and the one-page sheets, in Year 1, adjectives are included although the children are not required to fully focus on the word class name but will be using In their writing, Similarly determiners are included in Year 2 and Year 3 to support the development of noun phrases.
