Introducing Cracking English

Crackingenglish.co.uk has been created by myself (Diane Stinson) with a simple goal in mind: to create a website that shares English resources . These resources are aimed to support teachers and school leaders  in teaching and supporting in the development of all aspects of the English National Curriculum.

My adult life has been dedicated to making a difference within the education system. I qualified as a teacher in 1995 and have taught across the age ranges and across schools in Leeds and Wakefield, where I have also been a Senior Leader.

In subsequent years, I worked as part of the School Improvement Team in Wakefield LA as an English adviser, before being a founder of Abraxas Education.

I am now currently the sole founder of D Stinson Education and the developer of the Cracking Spelling programme.

Throughout these years, I have been part of STA's writing moderation and standardisation teams. I continue to be a key stage 2 moderator for English writing. In addition, I have many years experience as a key stage 2 reading marker.
